About Dr. Rita
SHERITA "RITA" VANN, ND (she/her)
She obtained her doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine from the accredited National University of Health Sciences in Lombard, IL. There, she received formal medical training and performed clinical rounds helping treat over 450 patients. She also holds dual degrees in Medical Assisting and Massage Therapy. She is a Certified Nutrition Specialist by the American Nutrition Association. She regularly engages in community health fairs, seminars, wellness coaching, and social health advocacy programs as an Alternative Medicine Practitioner.

Our bodies are designed to heal themselves. Everything our bodies need is found in nature and governed by the principles found in nature. We call these the determinants of health. Whenever these determinants are disturbed, the body's ability to heal is slowed or disabled. We look at all aspects of your life in order to get a clear picture of your health. We want to help restore and maintain your health using the least invasive modalities like homeopathy, nutrition, herbal medicine, and physical medicine. We believe in the integration of holistic care alongside traditional medical care. We believe in working with your doctors in helping to improve your wellness. Although we do not diagnose, treat, or cure disease, we may recommend that you see other health care professionals.

We want you to be aware of the status of your health by helping you to identify problems, set goals, and consider recommendations to meet your needs. We help you develop a wellness plan and teach you to take important steps to maintain it.

Naturopathic medicine is complementary, integrative, safe, and effective. We focus primarily on nutrition, disease prevention, and proper management of chronic conditions. We identify obstacles to better wellness and promote healthier habits through coaching. We empower people to take charge of their overall health. Never would we recommend someone to stop their prescribed medications or stop seeking the guidance of a licensed healthcare professional.
Chronic pain, seasonal allergies, senior wellness and healthy aging, fertility, menopause, urinary tract health, irregular menses, prostate wellness, nutritional deficiencies, reoccurring acute illness, chronic infections, transgender wellness, endocrine imbalances, chronic fatigue, autoimmunity, weight loss, detoxification, inflammatory conditions, sprains and strains, digestive discomfort, gut absorption issues, gut motility, constipation, food sensitivities, hydration, immune function, mental wellness, stress management, sleep disruptions, cancer support, and supplementation.
We also have access to specialty testing: environmental, gut health, and allergy panels. We are fully trained in herbal medicine, homeopathy, naturopathic counseling, hydrotherapy, and other evidenced-based integrative modalities.

No, we are not a cannabis dispensary. Although it may have its benefits in some cases, we believe that more detailed research needs to be conducted before recommending cannabis products to anyone.
Our office is virtual only at this time. Services such as hydrotherapy, cold laser, body work, joint mobilization, and ultrasound cannot be offered.
